Canadian mezzo-soprano Florence Bourget holds a Master’s degree (with honours) from
Université de Montréal. A freshly graduated alum of the Atelier lyrique of Opéra de Montréal,
Florence made her debut with Opéra de Montréal as Wellgunde in Das Rheingold in 2018. Other
highlights from her young artist residency include Mrs. Grose in The Turn of the Screw, Alisa in
Lucia di Lammermoor and Angel 2 in George Benjamin’s Written on Skin with the Orchestre
Symphonique de Montréal.

In addition to the operatic stage, Florence is frequently seen on the concert and oratorio stages. Recent engagements include L’Orchestre de chambre IMusici,Festival Classica and The Grands Ballets Canadiens. Her next project will be to sing a part of the opera Elia with Ensemble Contemporain de Montréal for a recorded concert as tribute of the composer Silvio Palmieri. Due to the pandemic, her debut in Europe has been postponed for one year. In september 2021, she will be
joining the International Opera Workshop of Waiblingen in Germany and in February 2022, she
will be singing the role of Lucretia in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia at Atelier Lyrique de
